We love teaching information architecture workshops! Most of the people who work at TUG have taught sold-out workshops at conferences worldwide. Two are currently teaching courses at major universities. But we’ve rarely taught in our own office, mostly due to the way our space is configured. So we fixed that.
Now we are excited to announce that after the recent renovations in our Ann Arbor office, we can host workshops for up to 10 people at a time.
We are kicking off our new training offering with a test run in just a few weeks, April 23, 24, and 25. We are offering 4 information architecture workshops:
- Understanding IA (Tuesday, April 23) is a day-long introduction to the essential concepts of IA.
- Designing User Research (Wednesday, April 24, 9am to 12pm) is a 1/2-day dive into research methods, which one to use when and why.
- Developing Durable Stakeholder Agreement (Wednesday, April 24, 1pm to 4pm) is a 1/2-day introduction to in/tension modeling for facilitating team alignment.
- Modeling for Clarity (Thursday, April 25) is a day-long practicum for integrating modeling into your design process.
You can select one session, or come for the whole set. We sandwiched the 2 half days in-between the full days to give attendees maximum flexibility for attending more than 1 session. Our workshops page has more information.
Full day sessions will normally be offered for $795 and half-day sessions for $395. BUT, because this is our first time hosting workshops in our new space, we’re offering them to our friends at a 50% discount. So take advantage of this opportunity!
If April won’t work, we will soon open our registration for our information architecture workshops scheduled on May 21, 22, and 23. We hope to see you soon!
