SCHEDULE:

Part 1: Understanding AI and Large Language Models—Week 1
The first part focuses on developing a shared understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of AI in general and Large Language Models (LLMs) in particular. After an initial overview of AI, including common use cases, participants will be immersed in a hands-on interactive session working together with an LLM to explore the capabilities of this new type of software.

AI Overview (1 hr)
The workshop begins with a level-setting session to help everyone get grounded in a shared frame of reference related to AI, including understanding the basis behind all the hype, both the benefits and risks, and exploring how organizations have benefited from AI so far.

Doing Work with Large Language Models (2 hr)
Large Language Models (LLMs) represent a fundamentally new form of technology. This AI prompting workshop is a hands-on interactive experience exploring the power of LLMs through a guided exploration of their strengths and weaknesses. This is an opportunity for a shared experience in the world of AI while enhancing skills in a fun, collaborative setting.

Part 2: Research & Interviews—Weeks 2-3 (Individual 1:1 interviews)
To prepare for facilitating the second workshop (Part 3), the TUG team will review existing materials and process workflow documentation in preparation for a series of 1:1 interviews to be conducted with your team.

The interviews will cover a range of topics depending on the role of the participant, including:

  • Operational pain points, bottlenecks, & known opportunities

  • Data and information creation, management, and use

  • Governance, quality, and risk management

  • Systems, integrations, and platforms

  • Types of activities, job satisfaction, and employee motivation

Interviews will be recorded and summarized by the TUG team with the help of AI.

Part 3: Synthesis of Issues and Needs—Week 4
The interviews from Part 2 will provide a concrete point of reference for TUG and your team to discuss the current state and explore key areas of tension that you need to work through to make the most of AI.

Synthesis Workshop (2 hrs)
The TUG team will synthesize the findings from Part 2 and facilitate a 2-hour session with your team. As helpful, high-level models of your ecosystem will be drafted to help frame the overall discussion. The session will also include an In/Tension exercise that explores how important considerations are balanced today and how they need to be balanced in the future in light of AI. Participants will emerge from the workshop with a shared way of discussing the problem space and alignment on the most important things to consider going forward from a change management perspective. TUG clients describe this experience as “the best strategy session they’ve ever attended.”

The workshop concludes with a final report summarizing the activities and outcomes of the Synthesis Workshop.
